After reading, watching, and drinking from the fire hose, I remembered a saying from when I was in my early teens. “The more we learn, the more we know. The more we know, the more we forget. The more we forget, the less we know. So, why learn?”― anounymous
Drinking in the knowledge did become overwhelming. I appreciated hearing predictions about where technology is going and where we have come from. I was reminded of some of the bloom’s taxonomy that I had forgotten more often than I can remember. http://www.onlineuniversities.com/blog/2012/06/flipping-expanding-blooms-taxonomy/
I was amazed watching the video of khan. What an incredible guy! I have used many of his videos in my classroom, but never knew his story. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmtgz95ZBbE&feature=relmfu
At this point the fire hose of knowledge was overwhelming me. Do I really need to know why I should flip my classroom? Do I really need to know how my truck works, or just how to drive and maintain it? So I stopped learning about why and started working on the how. Katie Gimbar, a grade 8 math teacher, flipped her classroom and she was just trying to find a better way to reach her students. She did and it worked!

She has a lot of videos on the more practical side of flipping a classroom. I strongly recommend these videos to anyone wanting a practical approach to flipping a classroom. She is no mechanic; she is just a good driver with a good maintenance record.
